Glasgow handball men threw aside their clothing for their first calendar shoot 2 weeks ago in which they are raising funds for a trip next year to celebrate the club's 10th anniversary.
Tastefully shot in black and white, there is only going to be a run of 50, however advance orders are being taken to avoid disappointment.
The photos were taken by Christine Leman and you can check out some of her digital portfolio by clicking on the following link to access her Flickr page. Unfortunately you can't get a sneaky peak of the boys on the site.
You can click on me for further information on Christine and this will be forwarded to her to get back to you, or if you are interested in buying a calendar. |

Big games ahead for men and women |

Glasgow men have a tough game against Cumbernauld on Saturday (in Blackburn) in which both teams are defending their 100% start to the season. This is sure to be a good tough game for both teams and no-one will want to lose this game. Strong benches will be key as both sets of starting 7s will be the strongest available.
The women's league finally begins with Glasgow defending their crown against Tryst and Edinburgh. As Edinburgh are the host team, it means that both Glasgow and Tryst will be playing 2 games in a row, where Edinburgh gets to rest in between their games. All 3 teams are in good shape and have impressed in the development games already, however I believe Glasgow have the edge again this year. |

GHC men once again are a continental mixed bag of fellows.
Here is the 2009/10 registered squad to date:
Andy Burns (Scotland), Andy Wallace (Scotland), Asad Hadad (Iraq), Bora Sieng (France), Charles Razimbaud (France), Christoff Boettger (Germany), Danos Sagias (Greece), Duncan "Hunky" Robb (Scotland), Filip Vervaeke (Belgium), Fran "Seashell Velasco" Cuellar (Spain), Grant Sandilands (Scotland), JB "Where's The Party?" Arlin (France) , Kriss Szulc (Poland), Nikos Tsounakis (Greece), Pablo "Oooh That's Minty" Garcia (Spain), Paolo Metelli (Uranus) and Sebastian Klotz (Germany).
A good combination of European styles gives the team the necessary edge against the competition in the league. Unbelievably, there are 4 Scots in the squad. The most since 2000! |
