Welcome To Glasgow Handball Club

The Glasgow Handball Club was founded in the September of 2000 by Alasdair "Baba" Anderson and Kepa Mendibil and was one of the founder teams of the new Scottish Handball League.
Glasgow HC started with a only a Men's team of 10 players. We have now grown to a Men's and Ladies section of over 30 players and will continue to grow. We currently train at the University of Strathclyde and Haghill Sports Centre.
The remaining players from that first season is Andy Burns and Cameron Arnott who has taken a sabatical to Oz.

Again, a good Scottish head count in the team.  There hasn't been a Scottish woman in the squad since the days of Sharon "Flash" Gillies, Laura Davidson and Ann Robin back in 2003.

Here is the 2009/10 registered squad to date:
Andrea Muir (Scotland), Anita "Oh that?  That's not sore" Hansen (Norway), Audrey Ciquel (France), Cecilia Simonsen (Norway), Christin Rennie (Norway), Gaelle Pajot (France), Hana Kudedova (Czech Republic), Kirsten Rolfes (Netherlands), Laure Deluche (France), Maia Jensen (Denmark), Morgane Gillet (France), Nina Leonte (Romania), Sarah Mehammedia (France), Suzanne Caldwell (Scotland), Synnoeve Colling (Norway), Verena "Rocky" Thomas (Germany).

We have two good young players, Andrea and Suzanne who have been playing handball in East Kilbride and have joined Glasgow this season.  They are doing great and are looking forward to their first season in senior handball.

Birte Reiter-Millard is currently recovering from an injury sustained last season and we wish her a speedy recovery back to fitness.
